“This 80-acre property sits some 500 meters above sea-level, and with more than a ten-year labor of love, a beautiful European-styled vineyard was created. A traditional French-designed winery was added five years ago, and the estate became known as the Village Farm & Winery, and awarded the status of the “Unseen Paradise” by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
With support from French experts, the winery for production of exceptional quality wine was constructed in the style of a traditional French Chateau. In keeping with French wine-making quality, Syrah and Cabinet Sauvignon wines are produced in small quantities, using French techniques and equipment.
Village Farm & Winery is not only a place to visit for cellar-door wine purchases, but for sharing the “wine-country” pleasure that goes back all the way to being a part of farm life, farm activity and observing the wine-making process. On top of this, good wine, food and music are available for all to enjoy.
Upon arrival at Village Farm & Winery, visitors experience the atmosphere of staying at a French farm. Chauteau Des Brumes, the center of the farm's wine business activity, bears the French name described as a “Castle of the Mist”; a tag derived from the breath-taking scenery created from the morning mist which envelops the landscape.
Activities such as biking around the vineyard, spa delights, old-style Thai message, and wine-tasting continue to delight visitors. Whilst the boarding rooms may differ in size, all the buildings have the charm of a country farm and a traditional French winery.
